"Thanks for your interest and
let’s
start a Gameface™ epidemic!" |

The
origins of Gameface™ date
back to 1990 in Columbus, Ohio, when Jerry came up with the idea
for a game while trying to identify the famous faces on the album
cover (yes, we still had albums back then) of “Sgt. Pepper’s
Lonely Hearts Club Band” by The Beatles.
Not too long after, he called his long-time
chum to take the concept and turn it into a game. Robert immediately
embraced the idea...”Gameface™ is so powerful because
it stimulates a person’s visual sense and combines two popular
cultural curiosities: biography and trivia. Not only is the game
challenging and fun, it is also worthwhile to learn about the most
famous people in history.” A partnership was formed. Jerry
would focus on the creative side, while Robert drove the business
and operations to guide Gameface™ to market.
Jerry and Robert then formed DAHG,
LLC (Dietl and Hurlbert Games), developed a business plan, built
a prototype and vetted out the game to focus groups and industry
consultants. The feedback was overwhelmingly favorable, prompting
the DAHG partners to raise private capital in 2004 that enabled
them to complete the final product and begin producing Volume I.
